I consider myself to be a professional & enthusiastic Family Day Care Educator with over two decades of experience. I pride myself on providing a safe & stimulating environment for young children, conducting individual & group activities to encourage play, learning & develop social interaction skills; while, maintaining appropriate records of attendance, activities & observations.
My philosophy is to provide a safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun, educational & anti-bias environment in my home with a flexible routine. I acknowledge that children belong first to their family & work to support families in their parenting role & share with them information of benefit to their child’s development. Through sharing cultures, ideas, knowledge, strengths & differences, I aim to develop a partnership with families that are beneficial to the child’s learning & development.
I care about children understanding our surrounding cultural environment & to care for our natural environment.
Every child is important & I believe that all children deserve to be treated with equality & respect, & their cultural & linguistic diversity embraced & acknowledged.
Children‘s self-help skills & independence will be encouraged.
In collaboration with children & families, I aim to promote relationships that support children to “Belonging Being Becoming”.
My own personal interests include: Cooking & Baking, Painting & Crafts, Making my own resources, Reading, Nature walks & bike rides with my family, volunteering at my children’s Kindergarten (PAG) & Being a part of the local Indigenous Community.
